::: flashback to two weekends ago:::
Austin’s ENTIRE family came into town and to celebrate, the clan AND the cast of L&S enjoyed a lively dinner at one of uptown's hot spots (ironically the SAME hotspot where the wordsmith lost her cell phone, but that was a whole other blog). The dinner began with double gin and tonics, mojitos, and fishbowls of sangria. As the crew devoured enough food -- and made more noise -- to feed two tables of 16 the gaggle of prom goers could not stop staring at the motley crew. The more wine was poured, the more games came pouring out of one of Austin’s aunt’s mouth. From the classic "this is a dog" to the violent "bang bang who's dead", the games were just part and parcel of a truly legendary evening.::: fade in to country bar :::
No night would be complete without a trip to country bar or potentially a sandwich, so of course, this episode is no exception. sister sledge's "we are family" is being crooned out by a patron and Austin turns to her three cast members and reminds that blood may be thicker than water, but love is thicker than anything. After imparting these words of love and thanks and friendship, Austin tries to hug the crew – but of course, Emily’s personal space is invaded, Justine can’t stop bouncing around to actually BE hugged and Nicole is too busy rapping “California Love” on karaoke … and thus Austin is left looking awkward, squinting her little eyes at the madness … Just like every other night with this classy quartet!
"Everyone can see we're together, as we walk on by, (And!) And we fly just like birds of a feather I won't tell no lie, (All!) all of the people around us they say, Can they be that close? Just let me state for the record, we’re giving love in a family dose ... We are family ... I got all my sisters with me ..."
