Episode 1.8 -- This Ain’t Your Daddy’s Country Club

This past Saturday was a very special occasion as it was the first L&S birthday party since the cast was formed. To kill the suspense, expectations were high and no one was disappointed. The night began where every good one does – the Grand House. Austin got her birthday wish when everyone arrived at the party dressed like her. A boisterous Power Hour was fueled by Austin’s Hot Jams and the partygoer’s even hotter dance moves. Contrary to initial concerns, these stuffy, preppy Country Club outfits were not a problem. Emily’s critter-patterned pants grinded effortlessly against the ping pong table while Justine’s uncomfortable boat shoes were no challenge for her bouncy moves. Nicole worked out her spandex white tennis skirt and argyle socks while Austin maintained poise in her searsucker suit as she threw up gang signs.

Just as button up shirts were getting buttoned down post Power Hour, Emily and Justine rallied the colorful crowd to the greatest bar ever – the Bulldog. And as to what our most loyal readers really want to know, there was a lot of love in the air that night. Nicole finally met her tall, dark, handsome, pre-arranged suitor (orchestrated beautifully by Justine) and managed a decently coherent game of 20 questions and small talk. Unfortunately, Nicole was wooed away by her other true loves – darts and the juke box. Justine also had a close call with love as she “ran into” an old flame/friend. The night for the two was ambiguous – at any point they could make out … or not. As it turns out, it was the latter. But in the game of love this night, Austin was clearly the winner. Like any birthday girl deserves, she arrived at her own party with her smokin' hot, dressed to the nines Plus One. Austin got her birthday kiss and the Golden Tee machine at the bar will never be the same.

[Cut to the Country Bar] The entrance of the cast of L&S creates a scene straight out of a John Hughes movie when the punks and the preppies mingle. Austin opens her eyes wide, tilts her head, and says, “No matter how much love we find, we will always have L&S.” Then, per the birthday girl’s request, the entire bar joins arms and sways together to John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”
